It seems like only a few months ago that we attended the celebrity wedding of the year, but it has in fact been a whole two years already. The late May bank holiday will always be a memorable time for this couple who got married at the PowderMills Hotel in Battle on 25th May 2019 and to some fanfare it must be said. It’s the time of year where mother nature is in full swing, the buds on the trees and flowers which have been dormant for the winter now start to open up and the countryside starts to look luscious with all those vibrant, fresh green colours everywhere you look.
The weather for the cotton anniversary couldn’t have been better with blue skies above, lovely warm sunshine and the peaceful, tranquil setting of the hotel and its estate. It was a much needed break after having a busy year and being locked down like the rest of the country.
A walk around the beautiful Powdermill Woods before checking in set the tone and after unpacking it was time to relax. Walking around the hotel and seeing a few familiar faces (including George the resident peacock of course!) brought it all back; the wedding, all the guests, the ceremony, the evening party and memories of a most fantastic day.
It was just the one night stay, but was enough to remind us of what a magical day it was
