Sitting right next to Sussex University in Brighton, Stanmer Park has some beautiful woodland walks and extensive open lands to explore. Perfect for family picnics, walking the dogs or simply having a kick around in the fresh air.

Situated right in the middle is Stanmer House, a Grade 1 country house built in 1722. Restored and modernised this ‘Proud Country House’ is a great place to stop for refreshments before heading venturing out onto the South Downs National Park.

Nothing could make this place more beautiful. Oh, hang on! Yes, it could. Snow!

We were sent some pictures from an avid rambler who works on the university campus. These photos were taken at the end of February when the south-east of England was given a good dusting.
